Some of my life long interests are gardening for food and health, wild herb gathering and home remedies. My herbal experience started as a teen then progressed to actually living on a mountain top almost totally self sufficent (off the grid) raising three children and many animals who I treated with herbs and home remedies for 15 years. Along with many years of working with animals, especially dogs professionally and voluteering as a K9 search dog trainer and fire dept rescue member.

I enjoy reading, writing and learning. People watching, the outdoors and nature, good conversations and funny things, beaches and mountains and so much more.

On 9/11/11 I formed Family Disaster Dogs and the website www.familydisasterdogs.com to teach people all over the world how to train thier family dogs to help them in the event of a disaster or emergency, like a lost loved one.

Our dogs are always by our side, waiting and will to help and the lessons I post on familydisasterdogs.com teach you how to ask your dog to help you find lost people or carry supplies, or how to dig you out of rubble or carry first aid to another person. Our dogs can be amazing if only we ask.
